Book an appointment

Family Practice

Canyon Meadows Medical Center is a family practice at 1041 Canyon Meadows Drive SW. Dr. Chukwuma Oliko and Dr. Kayode Oyekunle are both accepting new patients. You can read about each of them on our physicians page and choose who you would like to see.

Your family doctor is your first stop for primary care: check-ups, prescriptions, and looking after both long-term and short-term illness. When we are closed, call 8-1-1 for Health Link to speak with a registered nurse, 24 hours a day.

Start with a meet and greet

The first appointment is a meet and greet. Call 587-354-4000 or walk in during opening hours to book one.

What a family practice here covers

Ongoing care for long-term conditions, short-term illness, prescriptions and medication reviews, minor procedures, women's health, children's health, and complete physical examinations. Driver's medical examinations and WCB assessments are done here too — there is a separate page for driver's medicals.

Pregnancy care

We look after you at the start of your pregnancy and then refer you on for the rest of your pregnancy care. When that handover happens depends on your pregnancy: usually around 10 to 12 weeks if it needs closer monitoring, and around 17 to 18 weeks otherwise. Babies are not delivered here.

No Alberta Health Care card?

You can still be seen. Some people are between provinces, new to Canada, visiting, or waiting on coverage. A visit is $150 and a prescription refill is $75.

What to bring to your first visit

Your Alberta Health Care card if you have one.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 10am – 5:30pm. Saturday, 10am – 3pm.

If you cannot get an appointment time that works, you are welcome to walk in during those hours — see our walk-in clinic page.

There is a pharmacy in the same building, so prescriptions can usually be filled without another trip.
